Manfeild CEO announcement

MANFEILD PARK Trust board has notified the resignation of Manfeild chief executive Julie Keane.

Mrs Keane has been with the Feilding facility since 2009, initially as events manager, elevating to acting general manager in 2014 then becoming CEO the following year.

Highlights during her tenure include the renaming of the race track as Manfeild Circuit Chris Amon, retention of the New Zealand Grand Prix, the naming of Brendon Hartley Drive, realisation of the National Drive Training Centre, a road safety programme and student tuition programme, and achievement of significant grant funding.

Manfeild Board of Trustees Chair Gordon Smith says Mrs Keane has done much to cement Manfeild’s standing and will be greatly missed.

Her strengths in event management had been hugely valuable and an absolute pride in Manfeild being a home town enterprise was also a massive positive.

She viewed Manfeild as an amazing facility and it has always been a matter of great personal satisfaction when new visitors to the region told her they just could not believe the quality of what has been achieved at the venue.

“After 10 years at Manfeild, I’ve decided it’s time for a change,” Mrs Keane says. “I’m proud of my achievements, I’ve met some amazing people and it’s been a big part of my life.”

Said Mr Smith: “Julie will be missed by the Board, staff and our customers for her passion for Manfeild and exceptional level of customer service.”
